OGDENSBURG -- Two Ogdensburg men are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine following an April 1 investigation.
Anthony A. LaRose II, 33, was charged with unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
LaRose was stopped while driving a 2002 Chevrolet S010 Blazer with Florida license plates in the 300 section of Belmont Courts.
Police say LaRose had an outstanding warrant.
During the stop, officers say they saw meth-making components in the vehicle.
Police say the vehicle was towed to the police department, where they searched it after getting a warrant.
Passenger David B. Morrison, 36, was also charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Larose was held without bail, and Morison was held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
Members of the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, and the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team assisted the Ogdensburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit in the investigation.
