HOPKINTON – Two Canton residents were injured in an ATV accident at 7:10 p.m. Saturday on Sylvan Falls Road near the Sylvan Falls Club main gate, according to state police.
Ryan C. Thompson, 27, of Canton, was driving a 2010 Honda ATV southbound on Sylvan Falls Road when he hit a large rock in the roadway.
Troopers said alcohol has been determined to be a factor and charges against Thomspon are pending blood test results.
The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, ejecting Thompson and his passenger, Christine M. Fefee, 28, of Canton. Both hit the roadway and sustained injuries to their face and arms.
Troopers said Fefee and Thompson were both transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Parishville Rescue.
Fefee was later transported to Fletcher-Allen Hospital in Burlington, Vermont due to internal injuries. She was later released from Fletcher-Allen Hospital on Sept. 28, 2014.
Troopers say the incident is under investigation and charges are pending.
