POTSDAM – Village police have arrested two men who allegedly jumped a customer in a convenience store parking lot and robbed him of cash at 3:58 a.m. Nov. 13.
A third robber has been identified and another arrest is expected, police report.
Kyle J. Neuroth, 21, Potsdam, was charged with fourth-degree conspiracy and Ronald L. Freeman, 24, Massena, was charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree conspiracy.
Freeman and Neuroth are in Saint Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond following arraignment in village court.
According to police, Neuroth, who is an employee of the store, Freeman and a third person observed the victim paying for items in the convenience store with a large sum of money. After the victim left the store, the three discussed how to rob him, and carried it out moments later in the parking lot, police report.
The unnamed accomplish reportedly jumped the victim, taking him to the ground, while Freeman took his wallet. Neuroth stayed inside the store during the robbery.
