A Tuesday afternoon storm knocked out power to over 600 St. Lawrence County residents, with the hardest hit areas being Macomb, Gouverneur and Rossie.

National Grid says 468 customers in that area are without power due to the storm. Around 80 homes in Gouverneur were impacted by the storm and lost power as well.

Rossie experienced storm damage as well with 51 National Grid customers in the dark.

Hammond had 28 homes impacted and less than five homes were without power in DeKalb and Clifton.

Workers expect to have power restored in all areas by 8 a.m.

Last night power was knocked out to around 60 in Macomb, Nicholville and Waddington areas.

The storm brought warning from meteorologists of downed trees and power lines, with gusts estimated up to 60 mph.

National Grid says anyone experiencing an outage should call 1-800-867-5222, or on their website at www.nationalgridus.com.

People who depend on electricy-powered life support equipment should let National Grid know, the company said. They can register with National Grid at 1-800-642-4272.
