GOUVERNEUR -- West Stockholm and Philadelphia residents were jailed Monday morning following a burglary investigation on Sunday at 1121 U.S. Highway 11, according to state police.
Police said a 59-year old male victim identified Gail M. Wylie as a suspect, claiming she cam to the residence asking to borrow transmission fluid from him and then stole several items.
The items stolen included a DeWalt cordless drill with spare battery and charger, a DeWalt circular saw, a clear plastic tote containing loose change, a Pro Scan tablet, a container with $11.65 in loose change, a black Straight Talk cell phone and a black Net 10 cell phone.
Troopers soon located the suspect operating a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am in the parking lot of 1162 U.S. Highway 11.
Wylie, along with an accomplice, Ralph Wylie, were in possession of the items reported stolen, officers said.
Both subjects were charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, felonies, at 12:02 a.m. on Monday.
Gail Wylie was remanded to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, without bail and Ralph was jailed on $5,000 bail, troopers said.
Both are to answer the charges in Gouverneur court Sept. 8.
