NORWOOD -- Canton-based state police are seeking help regarding a fraud investigation involving a woman allegedly sold pizzas during for a school fundraiser and kept the money.
Troopers say several people gave money to a woman during a pizza drive sponsored by Norwood-Norfolk Central School and Little Caesar’s.
Troopers said the drive occurred during the third and fourth week of January, but several customers never received their pizzas.
State police said the woman allegedly sold the pizzas, but did not turn in the money or deliver the pizzas to the individuals who purchased them.
Troopers said the incident is part of a larger investigation and are looking to speak with people who may have been misled by the woman.
Anyone who has information regarding the alleged scam is asked to call state police at 379-0012.
