POTSDAM -- Canton-based state troopers are requesting the public's assistance with an accident investigation.
On Thursday, Jan. 21, at noon, a black extended cab short box pick-up truck with a silver snow plow damaged a white Chevy Equinox in the Potsdam Walmart parking lot.
The driver was attempting to park when they struck the Equinox on its passenger side.
The operator of the truck exited his vehicle, assessed the damage, then got back into his vehicle and drove away, according to police.
Surveillance video shows the vehicle leaving Wal-mart parking lot and driving toward the village of Potsdam, police said.
Investigators ask anyone with information on the collision to contact their Canton station at 379-0012.
