Trooper Brandi Ashley presented cans and bottles state police collected to Erin McCormick, Michele Zulauf and Brody Crosson, all members of the team.
MASSENA -- The New York State Police have donated several bags of bottles and cans and a box of canned goods to the Steppin For Steve Relay For Life team.
Becky Duprey, sister of Steven Duprey, for whom the team is named, said troopers are continuing to save their bottles and cans and will present them to Stepping For Steve in early August.
She said they were very grateful that kept up the collection even they were busy with the manhunt for the escaped Dannemora prisoners.
Becky said her brother “passed away last year on June 25 just after we did our first Relay for Life. He was from Ogdensburg and lived there his whole life.”
