MASSENA -- A woman is jailed on drug charges after being caught with a felony quantity of crack cocaine during a traffic stop and spitting in an officer’s face, according to police.
Alexandrea A. Wilson, 19, of West Miller Street, Newark, N.Y. is charged with third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree harassment, police said.
Wilson was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Luke D. Wilson, 18, same address. They were stopped around 2:09 a.m. on Park Avenue, according to police.
A K9 search of the vehicle turned up 2.87 grams of crack and Alexandrea Wilson allegedly spit in an officer’s face during the incident, according to police.
She was arraigned in Massena court by Justice Patrick Serguson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond, police said.
Luke Wilson was cited for inadequate muffler and released, police said.
