POTSDAM -- The Town of Potsdam had planned to adopt at its Wednesday meeting an agreement covering the 11 office workers who are Teamsters 687 members, but a few details need clarification.
Supervisor Ann Carvill said she could not discuss details of the contract yet, but she felt “a few minor points in our draft” did not align exactly with the union’s draft, so she pulled that item from Wednesday night’s agenda.
Carvill said that she and Deputy Supervisor Rose Rivezzi would meet soon as the negotiating committee “to tweak those points – minor stuff.”
Once that’s done Carvill said a vote on the revised plan would be put on the agenda for the board’s next meeting Dec. 5.
This contract will cover the seven members who work in Town Hall and four in Town Court.
