POTSDAM -- The last of three town hall meetings on the prospect of merging Canton and Potsdam schools will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 in the Canton High School auditorium.
The findings from the comprehensive merger study exploring the issue will be presented by school officials, followed by a question and answer period.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Child care will be provided during the meeting by the Canton chapter of the National Honor Society.
Both superintendents are working to share the results of the study prior to a straw poll in both districts, set for 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 30. If measure passes then, a binding referendum would finalize the merger in December.
If the issue fails in either vote, the merger proposition is finished, at least for now.
