CANTON – The town Highway Committee and the highway superintendent have recommended to the Town Council that rebuilding 6,000 feet of the Irish Settlement Road should begin this fall.
At the town board’s meeting Sept. 12, they heard the recommendation and accepted it with the expectation that the road base will be laid this year and that paving on top of that will be done during the 2017 construction season, according to Town Supervisor David Button.
