Today will be the warmest day of the week with highs in the 80s today, nearing 90 by the warmest part of the day this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A weak disturbance will pass just to our north and may kick off a few showers or thunderstorms near the Canadian border, NWS says.

Highs today are expected be around 88 with light winds. Overnight lows will be around 69.

There is a better change of showers and storms Thursday as a trough of low pressure moves into the region, the service says.

The high temp Thursday should be around 83 with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.

Other than a few showers over southern portions of St. Lawrence County on Friday, the weekend is shaping up to be dry with seasonal temps, NWS says.
