An upper level disturbance will bring showers and thunderstorms to parts of St. Lawrence County today, according to the National Weather Service.
Northern New York looks to have the better chance for showers and thunderstorms, with more isolated to scattered showers and storms expected across Vermont in the late afternoon.
There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today wit a high near 72, the service says.
Skies should clear up and dry weather should greet residents on Saturday as highs will reach to nearly 80 with partly cloudy skies, NWS says.
A shift to quieter and drier conditions is expected for the weekend, before the next round of unsettled weather moves in early next week.
Overall, temperatures will trend warmer, close to seasonal normals.
