Calling for three to six inches of snow by Monday morning, the National Weather Service has placed all St. Lawrence County communities under a hazardous weather outlook.

"Difficult to hazardous travel conditions are expected due to snow covered roads, especially during the Monday morning commute. Snow is expected to overspread the North Country Sunday evening and early Monday morning becoming moderate at times before transitioning to light snow showers to a wintry mix Monday afternoon," a statement from the NWS says.

Temperatures are predicted to get up into the high 20s on Sunday leading into the storm, and remaining there through the evening, which the NWS says brings a 100 percent chance of snow countywide.

All communites are looking at an 80 to 90 percent chance of snow Monday morning anda  30 to 50 percent chance of snow then mostly cloudy at night.

Tuesday brings a 30 to 40 percent chance of snowshowers to most areas except Massena, where the weather is forecast to be mostly cloudy. Temperatures are predicted around 34 degrees. Nighttime temps will get to the low 20s with 30 to 50 percent chances of snowshowers.

Wednesday brings up to 80 percent chances of snowshowers in some towns with temperatures in the mid 20s. Evening hours bring 40 percent chances of snow with temperatures plummeting to about 9 degrees.
