OGDENSBURG -- Three Ogdensburg-area men are charged with possessing materials used to make methamphetamine, according to state police.
Stephen D. Bogart, 39, of Oswegatchie, Ryan J. Joanette, 29, of Ogdensburg, and Wilbur D. Williams, 63, of Oswegatchie, were charged with felony criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine.
Bogart was additionally charged with petit larceny for allegedly shoplifting instant cold packs from the Dollar General on July 22.
Bogart was also charged with several traffic tickets including window tint, driving left of pavement markings, uninspected motor vehicle, failure to notify dmv of address change and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
State Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit conducted an investigation provided by uniform troopers.
During the investigation, patrols were requested by the Narcotics Enforcement Unit to stop a vehicle for passing a car in a no passing zone on County Route 6 in the town of Oswegatchie.
Following the stop, troopers found components inside the vehicle used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
