Three North Country residents, including a Massena woman, were arrested recently for the possession and sale of illicit prescription drugs in Franklin County following a yearlong investigation.
Lindsey M. Hicks, 30, Massena, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, both class B felonies, according to state police.
Hicks allegedly possessed and sold heroin.
She was arraigned before the Town of Moira Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond, police said.
Craig J. Butchino, 56, of Westville, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, both class B felonies, police said.
Butchino allegedly possessed and sold Oxycodone.
He was arraigned before the Town of Malone Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond, according to police.
Lindsay M. Bilow, 26, of Brushton, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, both class B felonies, police said.
Bilow allegedly possessed and sold cocaine.
She was arraigned before the Village of Malone Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
The arrests stem from a yearlong investigation by the Troop B Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the Franklin County Narcotics Border Task Force.
