Three St. Lawrence County libraries have received Technology Service Improvement grants to improve user services, improve access to research resources, or demonstrate best practices that can be used by other libraries.

The Northern New York Library Network announced that the Canton Public Library will receive $2,861. The funds will be used for three Nook color e-readers and 60 e-books, to be made available for public use, and for infrastructure upgrades.

The Massena Public Library is getting $3,945 for computers and a printer for their Job and Career Center.

The St. Lawrence-Lewis School Library System will use $6,000 to digitize yearbook collections in eight school districts, for the benefit of the St. Lawrence County community at large, and for genealogists looking for information on county families.
