LISBON – Three people were injured, one seriously, in a two-car accident Tuesday on State Rt. 37 near Sports Club Road, according to state police.
Natalie Love, 21, Hemet, Calif., was driving westbound on Rt. 37 when she attempted to make a left hand turn onto Sports Club Road, police report.
In doing so, she failed to yield the right of way to an eastbound vehicle driven by Nora McDonald, 49, Madrid, and struck that vehicle on the passenger side.
Love was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for non-life threatening internal injuries.
A passenger in her vehicle, Vanessa Bentley, Age 22, Tucson, Ariz., was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and later flown by Life Flight to Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Vermont. Her injuries are reported as serious and life threatening, according to police.
McDonald was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for complaints of pain.
Charges are pending at this time.
Lisbon Fire and Rescue and Ogdenburg Rescue responded to the scene.
