LISBON -- Three people were injured following a multi-vehicle crash that involved a fuel truck.
On Monday around 8:30 a.m., State Police responded to state Route 37 in Lisbon where they say that a 2011 Toyota Rav 4, operated by Martin R. Fregoe, 24, of Brasher, was traveling west.
Troopers say his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of travel and struck a 2017 Dodge Ram, operated by Mark L. Palmer, 55, of Ogdensburg who was traveling east.
Palmer’s vehicle then overturned and struck a 2015 International MX Fuels tractor trailer driven by Scott A. Walrath, 46 of Chase Mills, who was traveling west behind Fregoe, troopers said.
Palmer and his passenger Richard E. Kelso Jr., 58, of Ogdensburg were entrapped and had to be extricated by responding fire and EMS, troopers said.
Palmer was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for a head laceration and Kelso was transported to CPH for neck and back pain. Fregoe was also extricated from his vehicle and transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for facial lacerations and a leg injury. All victims treated for non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation, according to troopers.
