Application deadlines for three grant programs funding local arts are on Sept. 1 and Oct. 1.
Individual artists, artist collectives, local municipalities, public libraries, and 501(c)3 non-profits in St. Lawrence and nearby counties are eligible to apply.
Public Art Fellowships and Teaching Artist Fund applications are due Sept. 1, and Community Arts Grant applications are due Oct. 1 to SLC Arts at https://slcarts.submittable.com.
First-time applicants must contact SLC Arts prior to submitting an application. They strongly recommend that people apply early to allow time for informal review by the grant coordinator, so that they may receive constructive feedback and make revisions to strengthen their applications before the deadlines.
Funding for these grants comes from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program. Visit the “Grants” page at www.slcartscouncil.org for general information, or contact Alicia Murphy, Grant Coordinator, at arts@slcartscouncil.org or 265-6860.
