GOUVERNEUR -- The North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross provided emergency aid to three people after a Sunday fire on U.S. Highway 11 in Gouverneur.
The Red Cross did not identify them.
Gouverneur fire officials did not immediately return a request for comment.
The three adults received financial assistance for food and clothing. Volunteers also supplied comfort kits containing personal care items for each person. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help them, the organization said.
