WADDINGTON – The St. Lawrence Experience recently added ten full-service RV campsites near the Iroquois Dam.
Joe Babbitt, who owns the hunting and fishing destination just outside Waddington. He said the sites are located near his existing Amish-built cabins on a bluff the Canadian Iroquois lock.
Each waterfront site has electrical, water and sewer hook-ups to accommodate modern RV needs.
Babbitt said road improvements allow better access for larger rigs to the riverfront and each of the sites includes a cedar picnic table, fire pit and ample parking.
“It is our hope that St. Lawrence Experience will offer a little of something for everyone,” Babbitt said. “We’ve hosted fishermen and hunters for many years at this spot. Our cabins are popular with U.S. and overseas outdoorsmen. However, we’ve had requests for RV sites, too, so we are trying to fulfill that demand.
Babbitt said he has also added swings for the kids, horseshoe pits and a large pavilion with a stage to accommodate large camping groups for picnics and entertainment riverside.
Babbitt said the St. Lawrence Experience offers fishing as well as a chance to see wildlife.
