Temperatures in the St. Lawrence Valley have cooled some from the unseasonably high readings we have seen frequently lately, and will stay on the cool side through Saturday, with highs heading back into the mid-50s on Sunday and Monday.
Clouds and a chance of rain are predicted by the National Weather Service through the middle of next week.
A cold front and an area of low pressure have brought a fair amount of rain to eastern areas of St. Lawrence County and in neighboring counties to the east this afternoon, so the National Weather Service says the chance of showers is about 30 percent for tonight, mainly before 8 p.m. in northern and central parts of the county, but persisting to the south and east and possibly mixing with snow before tapering off. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Light west wind.
Veterans Day: A slight chance of rain showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Light wind becoming west between 10 and 13 mph. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 8pm, then a chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. West wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Saturday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 7am, then a chance of rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Southwest wind between 9 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36.
Sunday: Cloudy, with a high near 56.
