St. Lawrence County will see above normal temperatures today as highs will reach around 90 with heat index values as high as 95, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A strong ridge of high pressure will slowly drift southeast allowing a warm and humid airmass to take its place, NWS says.

Temps will run well above normal with some locations pushing into the 90s over the next three days.

The forecast calls for mostly dry conditions with the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms today and Monday.

Today will be mostly sunny and hot with southwest winds around 9 to 14 mph and tonight will see a low around 66 and calm winds, NWS says.

Labor Day will remain hot with a high of 92 and heat index values pushing 100, the service says. The wind will be 14 to 20 mph.

Monday night there is a 30 percent chance of showers after 10 p.m. and the overnight low will be around 68, the service says.
