After nearly a week of sub-zero temperatures, the North Country is warming up.
The National Weather Service is calling for highs in the 20s today and highs above the freezing mark possible tomorrow. A chance of rain is possible Sunday night. Temperatures are expected to drop again next week, but should remain out of the negatives.

A seven-day forecast from the National Weather Service follows:
Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.
Tonight: A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 19. South wind 13 to 17 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Sunday: A chance of snow showers before noon, then rain and snow showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 35. South wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Sunday Night: Rain, snow, and sleet before 4am, then rain and snow. Low around 29. Breezy, with an east wind 8 to 13 mph becoming south 16 to 21 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Monday: Rain and snow likely, becoming all snow after 7am. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Windy, with a southwest wind 16 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
