With Ice Storm 2013 now over, temperatures are expected to drop below zero degrees tonight and stay cold on Tuesday.
For the thousands of St. Lawrence County residents still without power and heat, that will present an extra challenge.
While less than a half inch of snow is forecast in the next 24 hours, high temperatures for Tuesday are only predicted to reach 11 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tuesday night, lows could go down to -12, and wind chill values as low as -24.

Here is the National Weather Service seven-day forecast:
• Today -- A 30 percent chance of light snow, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 23. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Tonight -- Mostly cloudy, with a low around -5. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Tuesday -- Partly sunny, with a high near 11. Wind chill values as low as -10. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the morning.
• Tuesday Night -- Partly cloudy, with a low around -12. Wind chill values as low as -24. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.
• Christmas Day -- Mostly sunny, with a high near 15. Light and variable wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the morning.
• Wednesday Night -- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph.
• Thursday -- A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 28. Southwest wind around 10 mph.
• Thursday Night -- A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16. Southwest wind around 9 mph.
