The National Weather Service says temperatures around the area will increase until the middle of the week and then gradually drop back down for a somewhat cooler end of the week.

Meteorologists are calling for Tuesday temperatures in the low 70s and getting closer to 80 on Wednesday, with sunny skies Tuesday and a 50 percent chance of rain the next day. Nighttime temperatures both days are predicted to drop to the low 50s.

Wednesday night brings up to 90 percent chances of showers, giving way to a Thursday with temperatures forecast in the high 60s with a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

Thursday night should be partly cloudy in the low 40s followed by a partly sunny Friday in the low 60s with Friday night cooling off to the low 40s.
