Tebo, Qudsi lead Ogdensburg Free Academy class of 2014

OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Free Academy class of 2014 valedictorian is Seth Tebo and salutatorian is Nabiha Qudsi.

Tebo attained a 97.94 average. He will receive and advanced Regents diploma.

He participated in track and cross-country. He also was a member of Mock Trial, Odyssey of the Mind, Key Club and National Honor Society. He has done a lot with the school's music department, having participated in jazz, concert, marching and pep bands. He also has been in area all-state, all-county and Lion's Club convention bands. He was chosen for NYSSMA four consecutive years for ensemble and solo, along with the Academic All-Northern band.

He plans on attending Ithaca College to study TV and radio with a concentration in audio.

Qudsi finishes her high school career with a 97.11 average and will receive an advanced Regents diploma with honors. She is also eligible to receive a New York State Merit Award for academic excellence.

She is the daughter of Naved and Fariha Qudsi of Ogdensburg.

She has served on the Key Club board of directors for three years and was district executive assistant during her senior year, lieutenant governor during her junior year and secretary during her sophomore year. She is co-president of the student council, participates in Earth Club, Model UN, Mock Trial and Odyssey of the Mind. She was inducted as a member of the National Honor Society and attended the school's academic banquet for high-achieving students throughout her high school career. She played on the school's volleyball team for four years and played in concert, jazz and pep bands.

She plans on attending Cornell University to study industrial and labor relations.
