MASSENA -- Memory Keepers Captain Marilyn Gollinger and team members Lucia Johnson, Stephanie Sedlock and Charlene Dumas have been actively fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association for a number of years and are the top Friends and Family team for the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Canton.

Their 2012 fundraising total is approaching $6,000. The team has placed first at the Canton walk for the past two years as well. The team continues to fundraise throughout the year in an effort to raise awareness of this disease and to find a cure. They believe that no one should have to endure what they and their loved one are experiencing.

The team members are grateful to all who have supported their efforts this year, and they are hoping that the community will once again support them in their current project---The 2012 Holiday Raffle.

Area artist and instructor Wilson Bickford donated an original 12 x 16 inch oil painting entitled "Winter Warmth" for the raffle.

Other prizes for the raffle are two beautiful pairs of earrings donated by Peets’ Jewelers, a body massage donated by Racheal Travis of Body Kneads, a bath box assembled by the Hollinger family and donated by Lucia Johnson, three bottles of wine donated by Alkie’s Liquor Store, and a $20 gift certificate donated by Northern Music and Video in Potsdam.

Tickets for the raffle are $3 for one ticket, $5 for three tickets and $10 for eight tickets.

They may be purchased at Alkie’s Liquor Store in Massena.
