HANNAWA FALLS -- The Aug. 2 Swim-A-Mile for Hospice at Postwood Park drew more than 60 swimmers and raised $25,000.
It was the fifth anniversary of the event.
Swimmers departed from Postwood Park beach, navigating the mile long course around Hannawa Pond and returning back to the beach.
Proceeds from the event benefit Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, which provides end of life care for hospice patients and bereavement support for patients, families and other residents of St. Lawrence County grieving the loss of a loved one.
