POTSDAM – An accident in which an SUV overturned on Baker Road in Potsdam last night has resulted in driving while intoxicated and imprudent speed charges against the Potsdam driver.
Brad A. Cordwell, 36, was driving a 1998 GMC Yukon southwesterly when the vehicle went off the northwest side of the road, struck a tree, and then overturned. State police got the call at 9:48 p.m.
Cordwell was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue Squad for treatment of lacerations to his face, head and legs.
He was charged at the emergency room with first-offense DWI and speed not reasonable and prudent.
He is scheduled to appear in Potsdam Town Court May 17.
