POTSDAM — Several police agencies responded to a report of a suspicious person on SH 11B Saturday night that led to felony charges for a Hogansburg man, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Abram J. Kahl, 25, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, deputies said.
Kahl was in possession of over 16 ounces of marijuana, prescription pills packaged for sale, other drugs and paraphernalia, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Pierrepont court and ordered held in St. Lawrence County Jail without bail, officers said.
Deputies said their investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible. Potsdam police also assisted at the scene.
