Low and moderate-income working individuals and families can have their income tax return prepared free of charge though the Super Saturday Tax events scheduled throughout St. Lawrence County.
SeaComm in partnership with the Akwesasne Housing Authority, the SUNY Canton VITA site and the IRS, will host several Super Saturday Tax Events.
Free tax preparation sessions will be held Saturday, Feb. 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. at SeaComm’s Canton branch, 101 East Main St.
SeaComm will also host Super Saturday on Feb. 9 from 8 - 11a.m. at the Massena Branch, 79 Main St. and 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ogdensburg branch in Gateway Plaza.
IRS trained volunteers will be on hand to prepare returns for eligible workers.
Financial Service Representatives from the credit union will be available to open accounts for people without an account and possibly provide loans for those who need their refund in a hurry.
Appointments for Super Saturday are required, as walk-ins will not be allowed.
