POTSDAM -- Fans of the radio station at SUNY Potsdam, 90.3fm WAIH, “The Way,” have a chance to vote for the station in the MTVU college radio Woodie Award competition.
MTVU, sponsor of the contest, is a college edition of MTV.
WAIH has made the Top 25 list for this award for the second year in a row. They are up against stations from NYU, Penn State, Michigan State, University of Texas stations at Austin and Dallas campuses, and the station at UC-Berkeley, among others.
“To be named as one of the top 25 college radio stations in the country is a huge honor for us,” said station general manger Daniel Laskaris. “The way we can win this award is by people voting. Whichever school gets the most votes wins.”
Voting started Tuesday, and runs through next Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. That will eliminate 15 stations, leaving the Top 10 for a second round of voting that begins Feb. 21.
