POTSDAM -- A SUNY Potsdam freshman from Heuvelton is drawing attention with his video of a stupendous basketball trick – with his back to the far court basket, a full-court backwards shot while he does a back flip.

And of course the shot goes in. The video is here.

Andrew Streeter, who played point guard for the Heuvelton Bulldogs, said he was “looking to get noticed by the world famous basketball team the Harlem Globetrotters on World Trick Shot Day.”

It worked. He got two tickets to a Globetrotters game in Lake Placid on Feb. 22 where he will get a chance to show his stuff.

“I just like getting attention, I guess,” he said Thursday.

This trick shot was performed recently at SUNY Potsdam’s Maxcy Field House court. He admits it took 15 or 20 tries before he got the recording he wanted.

Streeter is studying English composition at Potsdam.

He said he will be making more videos to help market SUNY Potsdam to the world. He’ll be recording them next semester, he said.

Streeter has more videos posted on his Instagram page at http://www.Instagram.com/Stre.eter.
