POTSDAM -- A SUNY Potsdam spokesperson says two recent blackouts were not related and have been fixed.
Just before noon on Tuesday, National Grid conducted what school spokesperson Alexandra Jacobs Wilke described as “pre-scheduled maintenance on our campus substation.”
She said that caused a brief power outage around the campus.
“Power was restored in about five minutes, after National Grid identified and fixed the problem,” she said in an email.
The school’s Physical Plant is still working to find the cause of an outage that occurred several weeks ago.
“The initial findings showed that there was a faulty switch in one of our residence halls that may have been the cause. That has since been replaced,” Jacobs Wilke said.
