POTSDAM -- About 25 brothers of Phi Mu Alpha Synfonia went on bended knee in their serenade of a patient at Canton-Potsdam Hospital recently, with the thanks of the patient’s family.
Family members were present and said they appreciated the soothing harmonies at a particularly difficult time for their loved one.
Phi Alpha Mu Synfonia is a fraternal order founded in 1898 and dedicated to the promotion of music and loyalty to the State University of New York at Potsdam.
The brothers participate in charitable activities throughout the year, including lifting the spirits of patients at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
