CANTON – Instead of acing tests and quizzes, children were scoring goals at SUNY Canton’s Roos House Athletic Center Tuesday.
With local schools off this week for Winter Break, the facility hosted 16 teams with kids ages 9-14 in a 3-on-3 cross ice hockey tournament.
Mike McCormick, the College’s director of facilities, and Pat Martin, assistant athletic director, helped to coordinate the event.
According to facility director John Vandevere, the event will take place again later this year.
Dana M. Woods, a senior in the graphic and multimedia design program at SUNY Canton, was in the thick of the excitement and shared this photo.
