CANTON -- SUNY Canton is seeking nominations for the 2015 College Council Distinguished Citizen Award.
The college has given this award every year since 1976 in recognition of exceptional service to SUNY Canton, to the community, to the state, or to the nation.
Nominations must be submitted in writing and should include the nominee's name, position or title, and a brief biography. At least three letters of support from non-family members should accompany the nomination.
Nominations, which are due Feb. 2, 2015, should be submitted to Mr. Ronald O'Neill, College Council Chairman, SUNY Canton, 34 Cornell Drive – FOB 616, Canton, NY 13617.
The award will be announced in May, and the recipient's name will be prominently displayed on a plaque in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center.
Last year's recipient was Rev. Mother Evette Austin of Grace Episcopal Church in Canton.
