CANTON -- SUNY Canton's powersports performance and repair program has partnered with Yamaha Marine Group.
The college is expanding its professional technical training to include the company's outboard boat motors.
"We are now set up with a dealership account so we have access to all of Yamaha's technical information," said Christopher Mayville, the program’s lead instructor. "This will help our students greatly and allow them to become more familiar with the products they will be working with in their careers."
The SUNY Canton powersports program has a partnership with Polaris Industries Inc. and runs a certified professional training center in the college's laboratories. The partnership allows students to have access to the latest snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles and personal watercraft.
