CANTON -- SUNY Canton's Career Ready Education and Success Training (CREST) Center for Workforce Development will offer a hands-on workforce development course in programmable logic controllers.
The course will begin Jan. 15 and will be held every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. until May 7.
Participants will be introduced to the theory and use of electromagnetic control circuits by the use of traditional hardware circuits. Instructors will provide an introduction to the sequencer systems that enable complex control and monitoring of machines. Prerequisites for the course include basic electricity and math skills.
The course fee is $1,150 per person and participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion.
