CANTON -- SUNY Canton's 105th commencement Saturday, May 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Roos House.
Approximately 1,000 students will participate.
A reception for graduates, family, friends, faculty, and staff immediately follows the ceremony.
SUNY Canton's Student Government Association President Nafeesa Nafeesa Johnson will be addressing her classmates. Johnson is graduating with a baccalaureate degree in criminal justice: law enforcement leadership and is a representative for the agricultural and technical colleges on SUNY's Student Assembly.
Johnson will be presenting the Northstar Award to Assistant Professor Christa K. Kelson of Potsdam on behalf of the SUNY Canton graduating class. Kelson teaches accounting and is receiving the award to recognize her kindness and helpfulness as a faculty member and advisor.
