CANTON -- Retired SUNY Canton President Joseph Kennedy was honored Friday with the dedication of Kennedy Hall during the college's alumni weekend.
Kennedy served as the college’s president from 1993 to 2012. He presided over increased enrollment, transformation of the campus the campus, and moving the college from a two-year to a four-year baccalaureate-granting institution.
New building additions include the Richard W. Miller Campus Center. the Newell Veterinary Technology Center, and Roos House, the new convocation center.
Enrollment grew from fewer than 2,000 to nearly 4,000 today.
