Surface high pressure will continue to build across the North Country today with mainly dry conditions and cool temperatures eventually giving way to increasing clouds.
A few sprinkles or light showers will be possible, mainly over higher elevations this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service..
Otherwise, dry weather will continue into the weekend with mild days and cool nights.
Temperatures will peak today in the mid-70s before dropping off to the mid-50s tonight under cloudy skies.
Some sun and some cloudiness is expected Friday with highs around 75
Friday night the clouds move will eventually be replaced by clear skies with lows in the mid-50s.
The outlook for the weekend calls for mostly sunny skies Saturday and Sunday with highs in upper 70s..
The NWS predicts calm to light winds right through the weekend.

• Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 73. West wind around 9 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. Light and variable wind.
• Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
• Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 57. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 78. North wind 3 to 6 mph.
• Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Light northeast wind.
• Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Light south wind.
