High pressure will dominate the North Country through Saturday, providing clear skies and dry weather today.

As that moves east, the National Weather Service says we should expect an increase in clouds and a few widely scattered showers Saturday night into Sunday.

A warming trend will develop over the weekend, which will continue into next week.

Valley high temperatures today are expected to peak in the mid 70s.

Tonight, skies will be clear with lows in the mid 50s.

Temperatures Saturday will approach 80 degrees under sunny skies.

Saturday night, clouds will thicken, though no rain is expected. Lows will be around 60.

The sun returns Sunday with highs in the low 80s.

Winds throughout the period will be light to moderate from the west to southwest.
