Summer weather keeps on coming in St. Lawrence County.

High temperatures all week are expected to reach into the mid-80s, and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Outside of an isolated late day shower or storm in the mountains,

high pressure will continue to provide generally dry and warm conditions in the St. Lawrence Valley today into tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

Today is likely to be the warmest day of the week, with high approaching 90. Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be the cool days this week, relatively speaking, with highs reaching only the low 80s.

A slowly approaching and weak upper trough will bring more of a threat of showers and storms to northern New York by later Tuesday and across the broader region on Wednesday.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers Tuesday, rising to about 60 percent Wednesday, before it drops off again to 30 or 40 percent for the rest of the week.

Slight chances of scattered afternoon showers and storms continue through late into the week and into next weekend as the Northeast remains in a seasonably warm and humid air mass.
