Seasonably warm temperatures will continue through the rest of the work week with highs in the mid 80s expected heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, but sunny skies are expected for most the day with highs near 86, the service says. Tonight will likely be partly cloudy with a low around 64.
An active weather pattern will return to the North Country as a surface trough triggers scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and again on Thursday, NWS says.
The high on Thursday will be near 86 with partly sunny skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms, NWS says. The overnight low will be around 64 with a 30 percent chance of rain before 3 a.m.
A more significant system will bring wetter conditions and cooler temperatures late in the week into the weekend, NWS says.

Thursday
Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night
A 30 percent chance of showers before 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Friday
A chance of showers between 11am and noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
