The National Weather Service says summer temperatures and sunny skies will continue through the weekend around the area.

After a mostly clear Thursday night in the mid 50s, Friday is forecast to be sunny with temperatures around 80 degrees giving way to a mostly clear Friday night back in the mid 50s.

Saturday is predicted to be slightly warmer, with temperatures in the mid 80s and sunny. Saturday night should be mostly clear with temperatures in the low 60s, the NWS says.

Sunday will get slightly hotter, with temperatures hitting the high 80s and sunny once again. Sunday night is forecast to be mostly clear in the low 60s and returning back to the mid 80s and sunny on Monday.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55. East wind 3 to 6 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 79. Northeast wind 3 to 8 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Light and variable wind.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.
