Summer temperatures are finally on their way to St. Lawrence County, but chances of rain persist in the coming days, according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologists say after temperatures in the low 50s on Wednesday night, Thursday will be in the high 70s and sunny. Thursday night is forecast to be mostly cloudy with temperatures down in the mid 50s, according to the NWS.

Friday brings 30 to 40 percent chances of showers with temperatures around 70. Friday night brings a 30 percent chance of showers then mostly cloudy, with temperatures in the low 50s.

Saturday is forecast to be partly sunny in most of the county with temperatures in the mid 70s. Star Lake is looking at a 30 percent chance of showers, meteorologists said.

Saturday night is predicted to be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the low 60s, giving way to a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms on Sunday with temperatures in the low 80s.
